Expectations in football don't translate to reality on most occasions. One would expect that the attacmi go trio of Lionel Messi, Neymar and Kylian Mbappé will tear apart teams in the league and in continental competitions but the opposite has been the case.

Their trio have failed to combine effectively as they should which has led to many to question if they were compatible on the pitch or it is the fault of their head coach Mauricio Pochettino who has failed to get the best out of one of the most expensive attacking trio.

Mauricio Pochettino has come under heavy criticism for failure to manage two things about the trio; he has failed in getting them to produce attacking returns on the pitch while he has also failed in curtailing the obvious ego of the three players.

No one would have been concerned about their ego if they produce attacking returns but it is the performance that has become so worrisome that talks of the trio not listening to how the team should play. Regardless of the team's league position, failure to have a good Champions League outing and inability to deal with the trio could get Pochettino sacked.
