Barcelona has had nightmares about Paris Saint Germain for some time. Beyond the elimination of the Catalans in the Champions League, the French club is one of the main candidates to snatch Lionel Messi from them. However, now another controversy is added, as the Ligue 1 team wants to take Memphis Depay, Koeman's obsession.

As was reported by Le Parisién, Leonardo, Paris Saint Germain´s sports director, closely follows in the footsteps of the Olympique Lyonnais striker. In this way, the Parisian team is noted in the bid for the Dutch striker for whom Ronald Koeman insisted since his arrival on the substitute bench or the Blaugrana club.

Despite PSG entering the bid for the Dutch striker, the truth is that it is not a priority for the French club. In fact, the main objective heading into the next transfer market of the last Ligue 1 champion focuses on tempting Lionel Messi. However, from France they warned that they will no longer comment on the issue until summer approaches.

Meanwhile, in Barcelona they have the Dutch striker on the list of priorities. The 27 years old attacker is a great wish of Ronald Koeman, who insisted for him since his arrival in to Catalonia. This is because the coach knows him, having managed him in the Netherlands National Team between 2018 and 2020.

In this way, Barcelona and Paris Saint Germain will again compete for a player in the next transfer market while both are awaiting for Messi's decision. Meanwhile, for the 'culés', the possible arrival of Memphis Depay would be added to that of Georgino Wijnaldum, who would have a preliminary agreement with the Spanish club for the next championship.
