Once called Raúl Jiménez a loser, he repented and now compares him to Agüero, Firmino and Kane
An attacker from the Premier League that once mocked the Mexican from Wolverhampton, now regretted.
Raúl Jiménez is currently having one of the best moments of his career, being one of the best Mexican players in the world. The attacker from Wolverhampton shouted four goals after six Premier League appearances so far this season and transformed himself into a key part of Wolves.
Some years after criticizing Jiménez, English attacker Troy Deeney repented for his action. On a game during FA Cup last year Deeney called the Mexican forward a loser, after Watford defeated Wolves and eliminated them from the tournament. But, after all, he regretted.
Asked about who are the best Premier League strikers now,
Deeney mentioned Raúl Jiménez and said that he is a top player that doesn't give the defenders any time to rest. He even compared Jiménez to some of the best players in the league, such as Sergio Agüero, Roberto Firmino and Harry Kane.
Jiménez arrived to Wolverhampton on July 2019, after the club decided to pay more than $40 million to Benfica for his transfer. Previously, he also played at America, his former team, and Atlético de Madrid as well. Since his arrival to the Wolves he has scored 48 goals after 106 games played.
