Cristano Ronaldo had two penalty appeals waved off by the referee in Manchester United's 2-1 win over West Ham and Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has said he fears the forward may not get as many penalities as he deserves.

Ronaldo scored to equalise for United after West Ham had taken the lead through Said Benrahma before Jesse Lingard scored the winner late on in the game. The Portuguese should have had opportunities to score more from the penalty spot but was denied by the referee who waved play on for his appeals.

Speaking after the match he said: "We had two stonewall penalties. Clear as day. I'm just hoping it's not one of them where Cristiano Ronaldo never wins a penalty. I think they’re stonewalls. You can’t even argue them. I think the first one the lad puts his leg up Cristiano runs straight and is fouled."

The 36year old scored for Manchester United for the third consecutive match since his return and needed a bit of help from his teammates, Jesse Lingard who scored the winner and David de Gea who saved a last minute penalty to win his second Premier League game.
