When PSG bought Neymar for $ 250 million from FC Barcelona, the world of soccer and sports was revolutionized. It was the most expensive sale in history and a very risky move by the Parisian team. The owners of PSG hoped that Neymar would lead them to win the Champions League and as a rebound return the investment they had made for him.

To begin with, Neymar's market valuation has declined in recent years. It is not even close to the value it had when PSG bought it from FC Barcelona. If at the time they paid close to $ 250 million dollars, today they could only get a figure close to $ 150 million.

PSG had set a period of 6 years to recover the investment they had made for Neymar and today after almost 3 years, PSG is already thinking about an exit for the best Brazilian player in the world. A plan he has in mind is to sell Neymar to FC Barcelona and thus recover a part of the investment. If they manage to sell Neymar in the next transfer market they could put the numbers at 0.

Neymar is one of the players who move fortunes in terms of marketing. It is estimated that the sale of Neymar shirts at PSG is at least 5 million euros per year. That money is not even enough to pay the player's salary. Everything that Neymar generates in profit serves to pay for the player's salary, so the purchase of Neymar by PSG did not bring him any economic profit. For the same reason, PSG is already thinking of selling Neymar in the next transfer market.
