The English side is seriously thinking on making an offer to Barcelona to sign him.

Lionel Messi is still defining his future. The Argentinian legend wanted to leave FC Barcelona after more than 20 years during the last transfer window, but ex-president Josep María Bartomeu denied him that possibility. Now that he is gone, things have change and the attacker could now depart.

The contract that Messi signed with Barcelona lasts until June 2021, and he will be able to negotiate with other clubs since December, according to FIFA norms. Manchester City is the club that is willing to sign him. It was the first one that appeared on his radar during the last failure exit and it is the one doing so now again.

But the circumstances have change and, even though Messi wanted to leave for free, now the English side could pay Barcelona for the transfer. Local press report that the offer of Manchester may include between $60 million plus the transfer of Eric García, the young defender that Barça wants so much.

Messi is 33 years old and the bad moment of Barcelona make him think that it was a good time for him to leave. Paris Saint-Germain also showed interest on him, with a very tempting contract, but it seems to be that Manchester City has more chances to stay with the top-figure.
