Neymar Jr announced he will be playing his last World Cup in Qatar citing not having the strength of the mind to continue again as the reason. But he is not the only player who will be playing his last FIFA World Cup in Qatar. Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo too will also be playing their last.

Lionel Messi will be 35 years next June before the World Cup in Qatar in November, by the time the next World Cup will take place in 2026, he would be 39 years and possibly retired, if not retired may not be called up at the Argentina national team again, so he is probably playing his last World Cup in Qatar.

Cristiano Ronaldo too will also be playing his last World Cup in Qatar, he will turn 37 years next year and by the next World Cup in 2026, he will be 41 years and most likely would have hung his boots from football both for club and country Portugal. We may be seeing him play his last World Cup in Qatar.

There are many other players who would be playing their last World Cup if they qualify for it. Robert Lewandowski, Luka Modric, Brazilian duo of Thiago Silva and Dani Alves who are 37 years already. The 2022 World Cup in Qatar will certainly be the goodbye for many top stars.
