Lionel Messi started his first League game for PSG but was substituted without scoring. He's certainly not a happy man right now after going three games without finding the back of the net, though he has struck the woodwork twice now but he wants the goal.

Pochettino decided to take off his compatriot Lionel Messi with the scores levelled at 1-1 against Lyon and brought in defender Achraf Hakimi. Messi has been lively and even struck the bar in the first half but could not score.

Pressure is already mounting on him to score, with his rival Cristiano Ronaldo already on four goals for Manchester United.

PSG went on to win the match 2-1. Kylian Mbappé assisted Argentine striker Mauro Icardi to score the winning goal but Messi won't be happy he wasn't there till the end.
