Xavi has taken a forward step towards securing his first transfer of his Barcelona managerial career. The club has identified Spanish forward Ferran Torres who currently plays for Manchester City and Guardiola wants a player in return.

Barcelona are bracing up for the possible departure of Ousmane Dembele with the French international yet to agree to a new contract reportedly due to disparity in wages. Reports from the English media suggests he is receiving offers from the Premier League.

Ferran Torres has a market value of €50 but it is believed Manchester City will be holding out for more and to help Barcelona subsidize it, Guardiola is willing to take Barcelona youngster Nico Gonzalez in the swap deal.

There is a wide gap between the market value of both players which means if Barcelona will accept the swap they would have to add more to it. Ferran Torres has a market value of €50m while Nico Gonzalez has a moderate market value of €8m.
