Brazilian playmaker Neymar Jr will not be in action for PSG in the match day three of the UEFA Champions League tomorrow night against RB Leipzig. Head coach Mauricio Pochettino broke the news today at his press conference and said it was due to medical advice by the medical team.

Neymar missed the weekend game alongside other South American superstars including Lionel Messi and Angel Di Maria due to CONMEBOL's schedule for the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier games and was set to return to action but had now been ruled out, though the severity of the injury and length of his time out were not revealed.

PSG go into tomorrow's game on four points after two games against RB Leipzig who are without a point. Lionel Messi and Angel Di Maria will join Kylian Mbappé in attack but with Neymar out, if Pochettino uses the 4-2-3-1 formation, he'd need an extra man in attack, Mauro Icardi is unavailable due to family reasons, so Julian Draxler could come in handy.

Mauro Icardi's problem though not specified by the club is due to a separation from his wife and agent Wanda Nara after seven years together. In the other group game Manchester City will play Club Brugge.
