Cristiano Ronaldo & Marcelo: Messi's eternal rival, Cristiano Ronaldo also has a best pal from Brazil. Left-back Marcelo was the closest player to Ronaldo when he was at the Santiago Bernabeu. Marco Reus & Mario Gotze (Borussia Dortmund): German internationals, Reus and Gotze are best of friends from their days together in the German youth teams. Reus missed his best friend when Gotze moved to Bayern Munich and confessed that he would give any amount to have Gotze back at the Signal Iduna Park. His wish got fulfilled as Gotze came back to play with his best pal.

Cesc Fabregas & Gerard Pique: The Spanish internationals met while at Barcelona's academy, the La Masia. Despite Fabregas leaving the Spanish giants at an early age, the two players remained best friends. It is rumoured that Pique was a major party in engineering Fabregas' return to Camp Nou.
