Neymar has been one of the best players of the world since the last years. He was already shinning at his time at FC Barcelona and did so when he decided to leave afterwards, to play at Paris Saint-Germain. Everything occurred after a transfer in which he transformed into the most expensive signing ever, for $225 million.

At his 28 years old, the Brazilian attacker is still shinning and had the last season one of the best moments of his career. He helped PSG arrive to the final of the Champions League and play a game that they finally lost against Bayern Munich. Ney completed last season 27 games played, 19 goals scored and 12 assists given, tremendous stats for a forward.

Despite all this great numbers, Neymar was left out of the FIFA The Best XI of the year and a scandal started. On social media, fans claimed that the Brazilian needed to integrate the team and that it was an injustice that such a thing didn’t occur. On social media some players, as Richarlison, also protested for the same reason.

After all, Neymar was left out as Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi and Roberto Lewandowski integrated the attacking trio that made Ney had no place. So far this campaign, he played 12 games, scoring nine goals and giving five assists. Despite suffering an injury recently, he is getting ready for the start of 2021, in which he will try to fight for the UCL title once again.

According to FIFA, Neymar had no place in the FIFA best XI of the year and such a thing happened as there were other top players conforming it. The once chosen are: Alisson; Alexander Arnold, Van Dijk, Sergio Ramos, Alphonso Davies; Kimmich, De Bruyne, Thiago Alcántara; Messi, Lewandowski and Cristiano Ronaldo
