Neymar will sign his renewal with Paris Saint Germain this Saturday and will thus close the door to a possible return to FC Barcelona this summer. According to the newspaper L'Equipe, Neymar has decided to accept the renewal proposal that PSG proposed a few weeks ago and today he will sign his new contract, which will link him to the French team until June 30, 2026. If he fulfills it , the Brazilian will have spent nine seasons in the Parisian team.

For several weeks now, Neymar and PSG had agreed on the terms of their new contract, but the signature was missing. The Brazilian was trying to buy time in case there was a real option to return to Camp Nou, but he has finally decided not to wait any longer and according to L'Equipe this Saturday he will sign his renewal until 2026.

The signing of Neymar's new contract will end the soap opera of his return to Barça and in this way the Brazilian will disappear from the list of futures for the Barça team. Neymar left Barça in August 2017 after paying his termination clause of 222 million euros and since then he had always been predisposed to return to the Barça club.

In the summer of 2019, the two clubs even sat down to negotiate, despite initial reluctance from PSG. Òscar Grau and Eric Abidal traveled to Paris with the manager Javier Bordas to meet with Leonardo and present him with a final offer of 130 million, the transfers of Rakitic and Todibo and the transfer of Dembélé.
