Neymar reveals the incredible reason why he was close to quit soccer

Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo aside, there is arguably no better soccer player than Neymar. He is the leader of Paris Saint-Germain and Brazil national team, and his status and his partying lifestyle made of him someone who always has cameras and paparazzis around.

Recently, he talked to the magazine Giffer and confessed he thought about retiring, in a time when he was severely criticized. He told he used to come home furious and ask himself whether he should continue playing soccer or not. But then he remembered something that made him change his mind.

Neymar said that he calmed down when he remembered how hard he worked to reach the place he was at the time, and the love he feels for soccer put him back into reality. And actually soccer fans, specially PSG ones, are more than thankful for that. He also said he does not feel the pressure of being who he is.

About the critics, Ney told he learned not to listen to those, and the only opinions that matters to him comes from his family, friends, coaches and teammates. Lastly, he considered that social media is a place where people can come just to hate, judge and envy him, because the world is very sensitive.
