The major communication platforms of the world were put on hold for about eight hours on Monday after Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram all owned by Mark Zuckerberg experienced downtime. During those hours, Twitter was active and flooded by users as it was the major communication tool then.

Footballers were not left behind in utilising Twitter to talk about the outage. Brazilian star Neymar Jr used the time to make a joke about his performance at the weekend in PSG's loss to Rennes in the Ligue 1, where he, Kylian Mbappé and Lionel Messi failed to produce a single shot on target in the loss.

Neymar Jr, who has over 50 million followers on Instagram posted a tweet acknowledging he had a bad weekend just like Mark Zuckerberg and asking if any of his followers had too; "Just zuck's weekend and mine that went bad or someone else's too?" He tweeted.

The loss was inconsequential as PSG remained top of the table with 24 points and six points ahead of second placed Lens who are on 18 points. The attacking trio of Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappé and Neymar Jr have not produced the best of results to match up with the expectations on them.
