Neymar and the curious bet he made with Gabriel Jesus that exploded in Twitter

Neymar loves Santos. Like Pele, he came from the academy of that club, made his pro debut and became a legend winning Copa Libertadores in 2011. In the other hand, Gabriel Jesus came up through Palmeiras ranks and is loved there after he won the Brazilian league in 2016.

Today, Santos and Palmeiras will clash in the Copa Libertadores 2020 final. Both Brazilian stars want their clubs to lift the most wanted trophy in South America, so they made the event more interesting with a bet, that they declared on Twitter and made a bit of banter from that, making it viral.

So depending on the result of the final tonight, the loser will pay the dinner. Ney wrote 'Today is a big day for a dinner paid by Gabriel Jesus', while the Manchester City striker replied 'Prepare to invite me dinner'. They are close friends and are always together in the call ups of Brazil national team, but not today.

Santos and Palmeiras are currently the best teams of the continent and they knocked out Boca Juniors and River Plate respectively in the semifinals, both serious candidates. This final will be watched in the whole world, but for the fans of both teams, and specially Neymar and Gabriel Jesus, it will be extra special.
