Mauricio Pochettino has been chosen by president Nasser Al-Khelaifi and sport adviser Leonardo as the new commander of the project that Paris Saint-Germain has now started. The great objective that he will have during the next months is to win the Champions League title, something that the Parisian side was never able to do.

Even before the arrival of the Argentine manager, the press from all over the world started to talk about the possible signings that PSG was going to make. As it is one of the richest clubs in the world, it is expected that some top figures are going to arrive during the next transfer window.

The situation gets even better for them, as stars as Lionel Messi or Sergio Ramos are soon to end their contracts with their clubs and could be moving for free. If such a thing happens, PSG will only have to pay the contracts of these players. But despite what rumors indicated, it seems to be that the signings will not be those, at least for now.

Foot Mercato published recently that Pochettino is trying to complete the signing of Romain Faivre, a French midfielder aged 22 who was formed at FC Tours, played for AS Monaco B and now is currently at Stade Brestois. With a reported value of $8 million and a contract until June 2024, it is the player that the coach thinks he needs at the club.
