If one reviews the history of world football and has to name the best of all time, the list of possible players to select is very wide. Guillermo Stábile in the 1930s marked an era; Ferenc Puskás was an impressive scorer; Pelé made his debut very young and showed all his potential with Brazil; Johan Cruyff headed the famous A Clockwork Orange from Holland; Mario Alberto Kempes shone not only in Argentina but also in Europe; Diego Armando Maradona also dazzled with his talent everywhere; and during these years, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo revolutionized the sport.
However, a world champion in Brazil 2014 surprised with the choice of him, since he didn't name any of the aforementioned. Christoph Kramer was one of the players who, for some time, confirmed his position in the debate of the best footballer in all history. In a dynamic with the official Bundesliga media, the world champion, who was still a member of Bayer Leverkusen at that time, identified Zinedine Zidane as the greatest of all time.
"Who's the best footballer of all time?", Was the question they asked him, in a video that was published by the official Bundesliga media. And the current Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder replied: “Zinedine Zidane”.
He conquered the World Cup scoring a double in the final. He won the UEFA Champions League by scoring an anthology goal in the final. He lifted the Eurocup being MVP of the entire tournament. He was champion in both Italy and Spain. And he managed to add the Ballon d'Or to his individual record. Whether or not he's the best's debatable, but there's no doubt that Zizou wrote his name in the game's history.
