Lionel Messi is now officially a Paris Saint-Germain player. He completed his move to the French capital yesterday and was unveiled today at the Parc des Princes stadium. The club held a press conference where the Argentine star was questioned over many issues. 

In his answers, Messi revealed that Barcelona was interested in signing Italian midfielder, Marco Verratti for a very long time. Messi stated that Verratti was held in high regard by the Catalan club and was one of the players he (Messi) looked forward to playing with. Messi branded the recent Euros champion as 'a phenomenon' and 'one of the best in his position.' 

The 6-time Ballon d'Or winner revealed that he is happy with how things transpired as he is the one to come to PSG to play with the Italian. Some of the other teammates Messi would play with at the Parc des Princes are Neymar, Angel di Maria, Kylian Mbappe, Mauro Icardi and former Clasico opponent; Sergio Ramos. 

Messi also revealed that the presence of fellow countryman,  Mauricio Pochettino, was a strong reason he chose to play at PSG. Messi revealed that once he knew the deal was possible, he put a call through to Pochettino. The ex-Barcelona captain revealed that he was convinced by the plans of the coach and his technical crew.
