European media have unveiled the contract figures offered to Messi by PSG. The French newspaper claims that the key meeting will take place in a few hours between the leaders of the French club and the player's representatives, and it is expected that the deal will be closed in a short time.

PSG will offer the Argentine 40 million euros per season. Much less than what he had offered, without going any further, last summer, but he would still be the highest paid player in the squad ahead of Neymar, after the salary reduction that the Brazilian accepted. The figure is also above the 35 million he had agreed with Barcelona before his renewal fell through.

PSG have everything in place to sign Messi

Beyond the economic aspect, Lionel Messi has friendships with several of the players that make up the current Parisian squad: Neymar, Angel Di Maria, Leandro Paredes, among others. In addition, he will be coached by his compatriot Mauricio Pochettino.

Paris Saint-Germain have also taken the necessary steps to obtain approval from UEFA's Financial Fair Play (the COVID-19 pandemic has eased the conditions in France) to complete a deal that seemed an unattainable dream but that in a few hours became a real possibility. At the Parc des Princes they know it is a unique opportunity and they do not want to waste it.
