The attacking trio of Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappé and Neymar Jr started a match together for PSG yet again but failed to produce an attacking return as 10 man PSG struggled to secure a 0-0 draw against Olympique Marseille at Stade Velodrome.

The three much talked about front three played 83 minutes together until Neymar Jr was forced off to be replaced by free summer signing from Liverpool Georginio Wijnaldum, albeit for an extra defensive cover after Achraf Hakimi was shown a straight red card for a last man foul.

Kylian Mbappé has been the brightest of the three this season, putting behind the transfer and contract issues behind him to be the better attacker. Neymar Jr has not been the best of himself while Lionel Messi is still searching for his first league goal despite having scored three in the UEFA Champions League.

Mauricio Pochettino would be racking his head to find a solution to the misfiring front three. PSG are top of the league and hold a seven point advantage over second placed Lens. Pochettino will hope to win the league, reclaiming it from LOSC Lille who won it last season.
