His prowess in the ring made him one of the best current UFC fighters, and why not, one of the greats in history. However, with 32 years and a life dedicated to this sport, he surprised everyone with his football knowledge, a discipline of which he was described as a fan, even above boxing. In fact, he confessed that he has ambition to become a professional footballer, now that his UFC career appears to be over.

The 32 year old, Khabib Nurmagomedov, demonstrated his encyclopedic knowledge of the sport this week by counting the names of all the Champions League and Ballon d'Or winners in the past two decades. With this, he surprised the world of martial arts, of which he is already considered a legend. However, he confessed that he is open to hearing offers to become a footballer. "I am a free agent, and I am prepared to listen to proposals," he confessed.

For his part, Khabib was asked during the interview to rank Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi and Zlatan Ibrahimovic in terms of their talent from best to worst. As a Real Madrid fan, it probably won't come as a surprise that Khabib thinks Ronaldo is the best footballer in the world. "Well I would put Cristiano first," the UFC legend told Sportskeeda. "Cristiano is the best. Zlatan can also be called a great player in his own way. And in terms of results, Messi is the best. So: Cristiano, Messi, Zlatan", he assured.

Finally, he once again made clear his love for football, and his frustrated dream of being a footballer. However, he understands that the path has been given for the UFC, and he does not regret what he has achieved. "I have loved football since my childhood and always dreamed of becoming a footballer", Khabib told. "But I was born in Dagestan (Russia) and you know each other, what is the priority. Who knows, maybe if Cristiano Ronaldo had been born in Dagestan, he would also have become a UFC champion", he concluded.
