Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly engineering a move to Manchester City this summer. The Portuguese captain is said to be open to a move as his time in Turin comes to a close. Ronaldo has just 12 months left on his current contract with Juventus and the possibility of an extension looks slim. A move to Manchester City is mooted as Ronaldo's agent, Jorge Mendes is said to have offered the services of his client to the English Champions.

However, for any deal to happen, prospective clubs have to be prepared for the huge expenses that will come with signing the 5-time Ballon d'Or winner. In terms of transfer fees, Juventus would require a fee between £25m and £35m to part with the Portuguese international. Though, Manchester City is said to be reluctant to pay a fee for the Portuguese so they would prefer a player swap instead.

Other than a transfer fee, Manchester City would also be required to take on the hefty wage demands of the prolific forward. Cristiano Ronaldo currently earns €31m annually on his contract with the Old Lady. If he is to move to City, he would most probably request more than this due to the prevailing wage structure at the club and the League in general.

Going by data of salaries of other City players, Cristiano Ronaldo would demand salaries of at least £700,000 - £850,000 per week. This would amount to a salary range of £36.4m - £44.2m yearly. This would shatter the current wage bill in the English Premier League with the highest-paid player rumoured to be earning £400,000 per week.
