Mbappé's mother says he is negotiating a new contract with PSG, will he collect more salary than Messi and Neymar at PSG?

Paris Saint-Germain prevented Kylian Mbappé from making his dream move to Real Madrid last summer and risked losing him for free because his contract will be expiring at the end of the season. PSG sporting director Leonardo was adamant he won't be sold last summer and won't leave for free.

Kylian Mbappé's mother Fayza Lamari has now revealed the stage of talks over a new contract in an interview with Le Parisien she said: “We are in talks with PSG right now and it’s going well. I even spoke to Leonardo last night. But will we reach an outcome? One thing is sure: he will give his all right up until the end to win the Champions League.”

The salary package of the new contract is yet to be revealed but it is believed it will make him the highest paid player at the Paris club, more than teammates Lionel Messi who earns a reported £650,000 per week and Neymar Jr who earns £490,000 according to English tabloid The Sun.

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez was quoted in an interview to El Debate saying the issue of Kylian Mbappé will be revealed in January but earlier than he said, her mother has revealed talks are ongoing over a new contract and it could affect his move to Real Madrid. It may eventually happen but not so soon.
