Paris Saint-Germain Sporting Director, Leonardo has revealed that Kylian Mbappe wants to leave the club this summer. The Brazilian sports administrator revealed that despite an impressive summer of business, the French international still has his mind set on leaving the Parc des Princes. Real Madrid is the preferred destination for Mbappe.

After rejecting 6 contract renewal offers from the Ligue 1 giants, PSG are resigned to losing one of their star attackers. Real Madrid is rumoured to have put in a bid of €160m for the World Cup winner with the hope of completing the deal before the end of this transfer season. Mbappe would fit into the Galactico signing profile that is favoured at the Santiago Bernabeu. He would also solve attacking problems on the pitch.

As it stands, Kylian Mbappe would be joining an almost full Los Blancos squad with squad numbers already handed out for the season. At the moment, Eden Hazard occupies the No 7 shirt, Marco Asensio the No 11 shirt, and Karim Benzema the No 9 shirt. This means Mbappe would not get to wear the shirt number of his idol, Cristiano Ronaldo, this season.

However, the French star could be given the No 19 shirt with rumours that Alvaro Odriozola would be leaving on loan to Fiorentina. Or he could go for the No 29 shirt which he has retained in all his clubs including Monaco and Paris Saint-Germain. Another sentimental pick could be the No 39 shirt that he wore in his first senior season at Monaco.

PSG has had a very productive summer of business with transfers. The club has brought in Achraf Hakimi, Danilo Pereira, Gini Wijnaldum, Sergio Ramos, Gigi Donnarumma and Lionel Messi from Inter Milan, FC Porto, Liverpool, Real Madrid and AC Milan respectively. Kylian Mbappe is perhaps ruffled by the arrival of Lionel Messi and how that would affect his star standing within the team.
