If we must talk about powerful trios some people could think on The Police and sing any song by Sting, Stewart Copeland and Andy Summers. But if the topic is soccer, then one of the leading bands in these times is formed by Liverpool attackers Sadio Mané, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino. And what about a fourth member?

He will not be exactly a fourth member, but a new third one. Who is it? It is French sensation Kylian Mbappé. The 22-year-old is apparently set to leave PSG in this winter’s or in the upcoming summer’s transfer market. His destination was allegedly Real Madrid, but while Florentino Pérez tries to raise the money, Liverpool seems ready to sign the paycheck.

As per Transfermarkt, Mbappé’s price is $218 million. Can Liverpool afford that? Well, it can be possible after they sell one of the three above mentioned stars. And that could be Mohamed Salah. According to French TV channel Canal+, the English side is ready to sell the Egyptian, whose market value is around $145 million, and would pay for Mbappé’s transfer.

That would mean a shocking movement, but still, it could be reasonable: Mbappé’s contract expires in June 2022, so PSG will have the ungoing and the next transfer markets before they enter in the risky zone of a free transfer at the end of the Frenchman’s contract. Meanwhile, Salah has recognized he is not planning to stay much longer in the club, who has him under contract until June 2023.
