English giants, Manchester United seem to have lost the battle to keep Paul Pogba at the Old Trafford and are ready to offload him for a decent price. The World Cup-winning midfielder has reportedly rejected the latest contract offer made to him worth up to £50m. United was said to have offered to increase his weekly wage from £250,000 to £350,000 but Pogba has turned it down.

Thus, the powerbrokers have now resigned to offload him this summer while they can still get some money for him. Pogba’s contract ends in the summer of 2022 when then he would be able to leave the club as a free agent. The 28-year-old’s agent, Mino Raiola was said to have communicated the latest contract refusal to the Manchester United hierarchy.

Paris Saint-Germain is said to be the frontrunner in the race to sign the midfielder, who is also open to returning to his native France. PSG are prepared to part with as much as £45m for the Frenchman but United are expected to hold out for their valuation of £50m.

If Pogba moves to the French capital, he would be the latest in the series of impressive signings made by the 2020 Champions League finalists. Gianluigi Donnarumma, Danilo Pereira, Achraf Hakimi, Sergio Ramos and Georginio Wijnaldum are some of the big names that PSG has snapped up this summer already.
