Manchester City vs Borussia Dortmund: A referee asked Erling Haaland for an autograph

It's clear that Erling Haaland is the forward of the moment. The Norwegian from Borussia Dortmund entered the world football elite and became one of the most coveted footballers in Europe. The record boy didn't break any records in the match against Manchester City, but he did reach a new level, one that very few achieve: the admiration and fanaticism of a referee. 

The event occurred after the first leg for the quarterfinals of the Champions League. Manchester City beat Dortmund 2-1 at home, with a goal on the hour. As the teams headed to the locker room, the cameras captured the unprecedented moment. Romanian assistant Octavian Sovre asked the young scorer for his autograph. The blonde signed the yellow card for him.

This isn't the first time Sovre has made headlines. The line had been involved in the controversy between PSG and Istanbul Basaksehir, in the group stage of this edition. Together with his compatriot Sebastian Coltescu, he was sanctioned by UEFA, after spouting racist insults against Pierre Webo, the Turkish team's assistant.

Erling Haaland's incredible losing streak

The top scorer of the Champions League (has 10 shouts) was with the wet gunpowder at the Etihad Stadium. What's more, he hasn't converted five games ago. An unusual negative streak in the Norwegian. He did not convert in the three games with the national team (against Gibraltar, Turkey and Montenegro), and neither did he in his return with Dortmund (against Eintracht). Haaland's last cry was on March 20, in the Bundesliga match against Cologne, scoring a double.
