Luis Suárez spent a hilarious amount on 1000 Big Macs

Since he was forced to leave Lionel Messi’s team to join Atletico Madrid, Suarez has been accused because of his physical. However, the striker started with the right foot and fit on Simeone’s squad really well. The problem now is the lack of goal of FC Barcelona, but that is another topic.

The shocking news is that Luis Suárez spent almost 6.000 dollars on Big Macs. He participated in a charity event to raise money and the company uses the hamburger as an advertising. So to donate, people have to buy Big Macs they cannot just handle the money, and that is what Luis Suarez did.

This did not happen in Spain, the event was in Uruguay and Suárez ordered 1000 Big Macs though a delivery app. The proceeds went to the children of a youth football league in Pando, a city near Uruguayan capital, Montevideo.

This is not the first time that we saw players spending so much money on McDonald’s. Last year the former Premier League star and actual Boca Junior player Carlos Tevez made the exact same donation, a thousand burgers. Was it necessary? Why can’t footballers just donate money?
