Luis Suárez spoke about his future and left a clue of what his future will be in the short term after the adventure at Atlético de Madrid. The forward, who equaled the start he had at FC Barcelona with the Colchoneros by scoring 28 goals in 50 games, is clear that he is going to follow as far as the physicality gives him but not at any price.

"I am 34 years old and I have one contract left at Atlético Madrid. I value so much the effort I have made to be at the top of football and leave a good image that if I return to South American football with 36 or 37, people will demand of me as if I were 27 or 30. And if I cannot perform at that level, I prefer to try to avoid being said that I do not run as before or that I do not score the same goal", said the Uruguayan player.

His idea would be to continue playing beyond the Spanish league but at the same time enjoy without the pressure of winning and for that reason he already has some destinations in mind: "In order not to leave that image, in South America, I prefer to continue enjoying elsewhere, where my physical condition reaches me as far as I can. That I can continue enjoying football without the pressure you feel in South America, which is more than in the United States, Asia or wherever you want to enjoy being 37 years old".

Suárez has in mind to stretch in the Spanish league one more year, until 2023 and then try his luck in the MLS with his friend Messi, as Sport detailed days ago: "It transpired several times that Messi and Luis Suárez have the project in common to begin their adventure in the MLS, where they would play the last years of their career. Inter Miami is the club that made the most noise and all the movements that are taking place point to a landing of both in the United States in the summer of 2023".
