Manchester United and Liverpool are battling it out for the signature of Atletico Madrid midfielder Saul Niguez who has all but decided to leave the Wanda Metropolitano despite having years left on his contract.
Liverpool will hope to beat United to his signature to replace Georginio Wijnaldum who left for PSG while United will hope to sign him in anticipation of the possible departure of Paul Pogba who is reportedly keen on a departure from Old Trafford.
The 26year old will cost £40m and either of the club who can meet the valuation can sign him behind Atletico Madrid by paying the fee to La Liga and snap him up, but won't be necessary because the club is willing to listen to offers.
The Spanish international has a net worth reported to be between €70m to €110m majorly from salaries, investments and endorsements and drive a range of Audi cars.
