Is Lionel Messi set to leave Barcelona? It seems like a possibility. Is he happy in his current club? We can’t be sure. What seems evident is that he is sick and tired of reading on his future. His contract with the Spanish club ends in less than five months and that will be the day in which he makes the announcement of his decision. In case he leaves, PSG seems like the destination.
Contrary to what many publications from around the world have said, Lionel Messi has not spoken with any of the three candidates for President in the upcoming club’s elections: he wants to stay away from politics. Joan Laporta, Toni Freixa and Victor Font will battle to replace Carles Tusquets, who took the position from Josep María Bartomeu.
As reported by Goal.com, Messi’s closer circle has not yet shown any charges against El Mundo, the newspapaer that leaked the information on his contract with Barcelona. Despite that, the soccer publication states this can’t be ruled out at all and is perfectly possible to happen in a near future.
Apart from this, Goal reports that Messi has had no contact at all with Paris Saint-Germain's board, neither any of his Argentinian national team friends who play in the club, Leandro Paredes and Ángel Di María. They both have stated they would love to have him wearing the blue, white and red shirt.
