Lionel Messi has been in and out of the Paris Saint-Germain team since joining after a shocking departure from FC Barcelona after a sponsorship deal between La Liga, CVC and Barcelona led to his new contract not to be registered, eventually leading to his departure.

Lionel Messi's time had not been the best he would have expected when he made the move, nowhere would ever be easy because leaving your home of 21 years to a new place would certainly not be easy. While Messi has tried to adapt and has scored three goals in the UEFA Champions League, he's yet again disturbed by injuries.

Messi missed the last two games due to carrying knocks, the Champions League match against RB Leipzig and the Ligue 1 match against Bordeaux, both of which PSG have won. Argentina has now called him up for the November international window for World Cup qualification games which PSG are not pleased with

"We don't agree with letting a player, who isn't fit to play for us and is in recovery, join up with his national side. It doesn't make sense and this kind of situation needs to be discussed with FIFA." Leonardo said in an interview with French media outlet Le Parisien.
