The future of Lionel Messi is still in the air, as nobody can affirm where the Argentinian will continue his career during 2021. Recently, he tried to leave FC Barcelona after more than 20 years at the club, but ex-president Josep María Bartomeu denied him that possibility. Without Bartomeu, the panorama has changed a lot now.

The contract of Messi with Barça ends on June 2021 and the chances for him to leave are very high. The attacker wants to play in a competitive team at his 33 years old, and Barcelona seems not to give him what he wants. The options for him right now are Manchester City or Paris Saint-Germain.

Meanwhile, FIFA gave the award The Best to Robert Lewandowski, considering him the best player of the year above Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. As he is the captain of Argentina national team, Messi voted on the election, and it was revealed to whom he gave his votes.

On the first position he chose Neymar and on the second one Kylian Mbappé. After being revealed, this gesture was seen as a hidden wink from Messi to PSG saying that he would love to compose an attacking trio with these two forwards. The third vote of Messi went to Lewandowski, the winner of the night.
