During the last transfer window, Lionel Messi tried to leave FC Barcelona for the very first time in his professional career. Ex-president Josep María Bartomeu didn’t let him out and the Argentinian legend had to stay. But after the exit of Bartomeu things have changed, and he could be moving soon.

The contract of the attacker with Barcelona ends on June 2021 and, if he doesn’t renew it, he could be leaving for free. Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain are the sides that showed interest on him and have the money to make a contract as the one that Messi is expecting to receive.

But despite he hasn’t yet left, Messi has already shown some hints that proves that he wants to leave. The first one was the statements made by himself after arriving to the airport after the matches played with Argentina national team. He assured that he was already tired of being always the problem at the club.

On Thursday, Messi asked to head coach Ronald Koeman if he could skip training and the trainer let him do so. That act was also seen by Catalan press as a gesture from a captain who is already tired and doesn’t really want to stay. If he leaves, Barcelona will try to negotiate him and earn some money for a transfer instead of setting him free.
