FC Barcelona has qualified to the final of the Spanish Supercup, after defeating Real Sociedad. The team coached by Ronald Koeman will now be facing Athletic Club, that eliminated Real Madrid on the other semifinal. The big doubt now knows if Lionel Messi is going to play, as the Argentine legend is having some physical problems.

Without Messi, Barça was able to make it to the final game, despite that counting with him will give them more options to win. Sevilla will be the city in which the game is going to take place and, for sure, the historical no. 10 will be travelling. The mystery now knows if he will be able to play or not.

The last match of Messi was the one in which Barcelona defeated Granada 4-0 with two goals of him and Koeman replaced him on minute 65. The Catalan press assures now that Messi is asking the Dutch manager to play, while Koeman thinks that he needs to be calm and take care of his physical conditions.

Koeman knows that a defeat against Athletic Club won’t force his departure, but that one against Paris Saint-Germain on Champions League Round of 16 may do so. As the first game against the Parisian side in just one month ago, the trainer thinks that preserve his captain is the best option, while Messi, as always, wants to be on the pitch this Sunday.
