Lionel Messi distanced himself from Neymar and their relationship is unclear

Nobody knows, yet, what will Lionel Messi decide with his future. The Argentinian master ends his contract with Barcelona at the end of the ongoing season. It has largely been said that PSG can be his destination for 2021-2022 campaign, potentially joining Kylian Mbappé, Neymar and his national team friends Leandro Paredes and Ángel Di María.

It has publicly been recognized by lots of people within PSG that Messi is their big dream – and they all look at him as a realistic target. Di María was the first one to speak in the press, stating that there are “lots of chances” that his countryman arrives. However, it seems that only the French clubs feels the rush, and Messi just wants to take his time.

Former president Joan Laporta, Victor Font and Toni Freixa are the three candidates that ran for presidency in the club. The elections are scheduled for March. It seems, as reported by Spanish radio Cadena SER, that only then, Messi will make up his mind and take the long-awaited decision on his future.

One of the country’s top newspapers, Sport, has doubled the gamble with a very strong headline in his front cover. “Messi says ‘enough’”, says the edition. They state the Argentinian master has reached a point in which he already feels upset after so many rumors linking him both to PSG and Manchester City.
