Lionel Messi arrived to FC Barcelona more than 20 years ago. He was just a kid who came from Argentina, where he played for Newell’s Old Boys, and tried to find luck at the Catalan side. After a couple of matches, sport advisers from the club knew they needed to sign him for La Masia and did so.

The first contract from Messi was signed with his father aside, as he was minor of age, and was made in a napkin. Barça didn’t have time to go a print a contract and feared that another club was going to steal him the great talent they found. That is the reason why they signed the first contract of the player in those strange conditions.

After more than 20 years that napkin is worth fortunes and many millionaires tried to buy it. The owner of it is Horacio Gagglioli, who was the representative from the little kid once he arrived to Europe. Nowadays it is in the bank safe of Andorra, where Gagglioli himself took it.

Despite he confessed receiving multiple offers to buy it, his intention is to keep it and to give it to Barcelona in a couple of years, so they can use it in the museum of the club. Such a piece of history is priceless, but we may affirm that it is worth fortunes for being the first contract of Messi in Barcelona.
