Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo will finally feature in the same team

Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo have been unarguably the best players of this sport for more than a decade. Today, it was officially announced that both stars are sharing a team after the great performances the Argentine and the Portuguese showed with Barcelona and Juventus respectively in this year.

Everybody in soccer world has dreamed of both players playing together, given they just faced each other multiple times. Seeing them wearing the same shirt is something that has been talked a lot lately, being about Ronaldo signing for Barcelona or both leaving their clubs to sign for PSG.

Today, both players have been nominated for IFFHS Team of the Year. The award exists since 2017, and Messi and Ronaldo were present in every nomination. The eleven winners have been chosen with the guideline of a 4-3-3 formation, with UEFA Champions League winner and top scorer Robert Lewandowski added to the forwards line.

With a majority of Bayern Munich players, the complete Team of the Year 2020 elected by IFFHS is: Manuel Neuer; Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil Van Dijk, Sergio Ramos, Alphonso Davies; Thiago Alcantara, Joshua Kimmich, Kevin De Bruyne; Lionel Messi, Robert Lewandowski and Cristiano Ronaldo.
