Paris Saint-Germain is in full swing in preparing for the arrival of Lionel Messi. In what is going to be an iconic and momentous signing, Lionel Messi is seemingly on his way to Paris. A huge attraction of the deal is his reunion with former Barcelona teammate, Neymar. The two South-American stars enjoyed a great time together when Neymar played in Brazil. Now, they are set to light up Paris together.

As part of preparations to unveil the 6-time Ballon d'Or winner to their fans and the World, PSG has reportedly reserved the Iconic Eiffel Tower for the presentation of Messi. The move is expected to be completed very soon, possibly within the week. The Argentine is expected to undertake his medicals soon, after which the deal should be completed. 

The only player that PSG has given this type of presentation for is Neymar when they also lit up the Eiffel Tower in 2017 to mark his World Record move from Barcelona. The Eiffel Tower is an iconic and cultural landmark in Paris that is highly regarded in France and across the world. It is one of the most popular cultural attractions in the world with millions of visitors each year. PSG have reportedly booked the venue for the presentation of Messi which will be an iconic event on its own. 

The Argentine playmaker is expected to earn a massive €40m salary on a 2-year deal with the option to extend for another year. Messi's move to PSG became possible after he could not sign a new contract at Barcelona due to what the Catalan club described as 'financial and structural obstacles.' Messi had previously spent 18 senior years in Barcelona.
