When it seemed that things were already quite complicated in the economic plane for Inter, the neroazzurra entity has suffered a new blow. It is that, as it transpired this Wednesday, the deadline for the payment of a bonus to Manchester United for the signing of Romelu Lukaku has expired. Now, the English have singled out the Lombards as debtors, and are asking for heavy compensation, that could lead to even more problems for Italians, that could lose Lautaro Martinez if they do not solve it early.

Serious problem for Inter that signed Romelu Lukaku in the 2019 summer market, agreeing with Manchester United to pay 74 million euros. The payment was agreed in several installments, and the Neroazzurro team still has to pay about 50 million euros of the transfer of the Belgian forward. However, everything has turned uphill for the Neroazzurri, that could not cancel this last plot.

The source indicates that Inter has expired the deadline for the payment of a bonus of 5 million euros. This indicates that the agreement between clubs includes a clause that can bring serious problems to internal property. Failure to pay this bonus would automatically make the Italian club the debtor of all the remaining payments on the attacker's chip. In other words, its installment payment plan has become a debt of about 50 million euros.

Given the debt of the Italian team, Manchester United would be requesting immediate compensation. The Old Trafford club would be requesting a top player as payment of the debt that Inter must pay off without the possibility of dividing it into installments. The players targeted by the Red Devils, are Lautaro Martínez and the central defender, Milan Skriniar. This is not the first complication of this kind faced by Inter due to its financial problems. It should be remembered that the Italians did not pay the 10 million euros corresponding to the Achraf Hakimi file weeks ago. However, they agreed with Real Madrid to postpone said payment, something that did not happen with Manchester United.
