Kylian Mbappé: see the player's request that could block his move to Real Madrid

Real Madrid were close to landing the top transfer target in the summer but PSG stood in the way of the deal despite Real Madrid bidding a fee in the region of €200m, claiming they respect financial fair play and won't sanction such a deal.

Mbappé opened up on the collapsed deal and expressed dissatisfaction in what went wrong with the deal and how the media painted him in bad light as a result of a supposed role in conniving with Real Madrid to sabotage PSG.

Mbappé made clarifications that he had informed PSG earlier of his willingness not to extend his contract, leave the club but wants to be sold so the club could sign a quality replacement with his transfer fee but president Nasser Al-Khelaifi and sporting director Leonardo turned deaf ears.

Mbappé would be free to negotiate a pre-contract with other clubs in January and is believed that he will move to Real Madrid but Mbappé's interest in playing for France at the 2024 Olympics in Paris and his ego issues is reportedly putting the deal at risk.
