In Monday's LaLiga match, on 83 minutes, the French striker was in the middle of the field, while Mallorca were handling the ball in the defensive zone, with a series of short passes. Karim tried to make a short run and reflected a lot of discomfort and, taking advantage of the fact that referee José María Sánchez Martínez stopped the actions, he warned the coaches.

Finally, 60 seconds later, Karim Benzema lay down on the grass and asked for medical assistance. From the Real Madrid bench, the medical staff advised him to leave the field under his own power, as there were some problems with the stretcher (earlier, Rodrygo had been carried off the pitch).

Immediately, the Frenchman got up and headed for the team's dressing room, where he was to be treated with greater care.

What injury does Benzema have?

Karim Benzema felt some discomfort in his left leg, at the level of the ankle. We will have to wait to see if medical tests are needed on Friday to see the extent of Benzema's injury, but initial scans indicate a problem in the left calf.

For now, Real Madrid have not sent an initial report on Karim Benzema's injury. In the coming hours, the striker will undergo the necessary tests and the severity of his injury will be determined.

Will Benzema play against Barcelona FC?

It is not possible to know exactly how long he will be out. It will be known on Friday whether or not he will be available for the next matchday or if he will even miss the international break with France.

Right now nothing can be assured, but Benzema is a doubt for the match against Barcelona this coming Sunday, March 20 at the Bernabeu.

Ancelotti believes the injury is not serious

Carlo Ancelotti played down the physical problems at the press conference. "Karim in a jump did not support well; it does not seem serious," he said. It was a difficult match in terms of injuries because he was the third to leave the field with discomfort.

Earlier, Rodrygo Goes had suffered a terrible tackle that caused him to leave the field without being able to rest his right foot. Ferland Mendy also had to leave the field with an overload.
