Italian club Juventus showed they did not miss Cristiano Ronaldo who left the club for Manchester United by beating Malmö of Sweden 3-0 in their first group game of the new Champions League season.

 

Three first half goals from Alex Sandro, Paulo Dybala and Alvaro Morata secured three points and three goals for Massimiliano Allegri's side who won their first game of the season to sit top of the group also having defending champions, Chelsea.

 

Cristiano Ronaldo spent three seasons with Juventus after joining from Real Madrid in 2018 and was heavily criticised for not helping the club do better in the Champions League and eventually left the club to return to Manchester United.

 

Juventus showed they didn't miss him by winning conveniently even though he scored for Manchester United, it was not enough as they were thrashed by Young Boys 2-1 on his second Champions League debut.
