AS Roma manager José Mourinho is in the hunt for a pure striker and one that can get the club goals beyond sentiments and for fulfilling personal ambitions. This decision became important after the recent blip in performances.
Mourinho's summer acquisition Tammy Abraham from former club Chelsea has not quite hit the ground running and has just returned two league goals in 11 games, a tally that will get the club nowhere unless there are other sources of goals.
José is now looking into another of his former club, the one that announced him to the world after winning the UEFA Champions League with them in 2004, FC Porto for another striker.
The player wanted by Mourinho at FC Porto is Colombian striker Luis Diaz who has scored 11 goals in 16 games in all competitions for Porto. Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp is also said to be interested in the player who will cost £51m.
