Colombian attacker James Rodriguez is one of the stars of the 2014 World Cup where he scored six goals to win the golden boot and helped Colombia to reach the quarter final. The performance earned him a move to Real Madrid from Monaco for £63m, he was instrumental in everything Madrid did in his first season.

James moved on to Bayern Munich on a two year loan deal, following the manager who signed him for Real Madrid Carlo Ancelotti. He returned to Real Madrid after two years and later joined Everton, yet again following Carlo Ancelotti to the Premier League.

Carlo Ancelotti returned to Real Madrid at the beginning of the season and new Everton coach Rafa Benitez made it clear Rodriguez is not in his plans, this forced James to leave Everton and moved to Qatar to Al-Rayyan.

He scored his first goal for the club in his second match against Al-Sailiya and that's his only goal so far. He was sent off at the weekend in the 2-1 defeat of Al-Arabi for dissent and chasing the referee. He earns around €7m per season at Al-Rayyan, about €130,000 per week.
