Arsenal's promising star, who made his debut in 2008 at just 16 years old and, two years later, in 2010, he had already been called up to England's senior national team, is currently without a team after ending his contract with Premier League's West Ham. Wilshere is now seeking for a good opportunity to get to MLS.

Jack Wilshere was under contract with West Ham but the club terminated it due to high salary. The midfielder earned £ 70,000 per week, roughly £ 3 million per season. Despite his extensive career in European soccer, the player is only 28 years old but has had most of his seasons interrupted by the injuries.

The interest of the MLS on him is shared by Rangers' coach Steven Gerrard. Gerrard, who ended his playing career at the Los Angeles Galaxy and is currently the Rangers coach, intends to recruit Wilshere to compete in the Europa League. Gerard and Wilshere know each other very well as they were teammates at the 2014 Brazil World Cup.

Xavi Hernández, the former Spain national team player, supported the possibility of Wilshere joining Rangers. The former Barcelona player remembered when Wilshere played an incredible game against Barcelona in 2011 and said that he was going to be one of the best midfielders in the world, something that would surely have become true if it hadn't for the multiple injuries Wilshere suffered. Xavi said that Scottish soccer is a little bit slower, so it would be very good for Wilshere
