As it transpired, the negotiation took place at a value close to 25 million dollars plus other accessories. Manchester United's offer was key to tip the balance in the absence of a payment from their classic rival. The 36-year-old Cristiano Ronaldo's contract will be for two seasons, and his main objective will be to conquer the Premier League, something he did three times, and fight the elusive Champions League.

One of the great movements of the summer in world football is now official. Cristiano Ronaldo signs Manchester United - the club in which he played between 2003 and 2009 - after leaving Juventus in Turin just three years after leaving Real Madrid. Signing until 2023, he will receive a salary close to 28 million dollars per season.

Cristiano Ronaldo was made official this Friday as a new Manchester United footballer in England, where he was between 2004 and 2009, after negotiating several weeks with his classic rival, Manchester City, and in the next few days he will be presented.

"Manchester United is pleased to confirm that the club has reached an agreement with Juventus for the transfer of Cristiano Ronaldo, subject to personal, visa and medical conditions," the club announced in a statement posted on its website.
