Paris Saint-Germain's experiencing a festive atmosphere after what was the qualification to the quarterfinals of the Champions League after having eliminated Barcelona last Wednesday. In that sense, this Friday the Parisian club made official the extension of the bond of one of the key players for Mauricio Pochettino.

It isn't Neymar, who, although he is close, hasn't yet reached an agreement. Nor is Kylian Mbappé, the hero of the classification. This's Ángel Di María, who renewed his link with Paris Saint Germain, where he arrived in 2016, until June of next year, according to the institution reported on its social networks.

In a video with various images of Rosario, the continuity of the team led by Argentine Mauricio Pochettino was announced, in a strong commitment by Qatari Nasser bin Ghanim, president and CEO of the club for a decade. "Very happy, very happy to renew with the club. This place's like my home, I am grateful and being able to continue here's a great joy. I will continue to give my best" said Di María in a short video in which he was seen with a shirt with his last name and 2022 as the number.

Di María came to PSG in 2015, from Manchester United in exchange for 63 million euros, and has 16 trophies: four French championships (2016, 2018, 2019, 2020), four League Cups (2016, 2017, 2018, 2020), four French Cups (2016, 2017, 2018, 2020) and four Champions Trophy (2016, 2018, 2019, 2020). In addition, the Argentine accumulates 87 goals and 104 assists.

The main objective of the continuity of the 33-year-old forward is to keep PSG among the best in Europe and open a door to tempt Lionel Messi, a friend of "Fideo" and who will end his contract with Barcelona in just three months.
