Cristiano Ronaldo departed Juventus after three seasons at the Italian club and has rejoined the club that brought him to stardom, Manchester United. His departure would certainly have a negative toll on Juventus income while it has certainly given a boost to Manchester United's income.

On the field, there has not been much difference for Juventus between when Ronaldo was there and now that he is no longer there. The season started slowly for Juventus but they are gradually picking up speed and are up to sixth on the Serie A table and first in their Champions League group.

Cristiano Ronaldo on the other hand started the season strongly but has plunged into disaster lately as United continue to sink and suffered an embarrassing 5-0 loss to rivals Liverpool in the Premier League, a match Ronaldo completed the 90 minutes.

Juventus' finances is certainly more affected by the coronavirus pandemic than it is by Cristiano Ronaldo's departure, it could even be more difficult if Ronaldo was still at the club due to his high wages. His signing at Juventus in 2018 boosted the club's stock by 25% and also increased merchandise sales. The club makes less now and also spends less.
